A three-year-old girl walks around growling fiercely with her eyebrows cross. “Are your eyebrows angry because you’re pretending to be a bad guy?” she is asked. “No,” she says. “It’s because I’m a girl.” This is a mission accomplished.
Note
It’s okay to be a girl and get angry - and let it show on your face. Anger is an acceptable emotion, but as girls we are told it isn’t polite. So what do we do? Suppress it.
Feeling and expressing anger is healthy, even good.
Think of a time you got angry and it made positive change. What’s something you’ve been patient about lately, but feel maybe it’s time to take action now? Put your angry eyes on for a positive purpose today.
